Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

We invite you to RSVP online by visiting the "RSVP" tab on this website. If you're unsure whether your RSVP has been received, please feel free to contact the bride or groom. Their phone numbers will be listed at the bottom of this page for your convenience.

What date should I RSVP by?

Please ensure your RSVP is received by February 9th. Accurate headcounts for the bar, dinner, and seating are necessary in advance! If you do not RSVP on time, we will assume you are unable to attend.

What do I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed dearly! If you cannot attend the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Yes! There is parking available behind the Record Box Loft building and in the parking garage across the street. Overnight parking is permitted in the lot as long as you retrieve your car early enough on Monday morning. A highlighted photo can be found in the "The Venue" tab for reference.ce.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be indoors. Although they may take place on different floors, they will be all in the same building.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

We would love for our family and friends to dress up for our big day! Please dress to impress in your best formal or cocktail attire. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing jeans or denim.

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Please avoid wearing shades of white, including ivory, champagne, and beige. If you're unsure whether a color is too close to white, it’s best to err on the side of caution. However, feel free to express yourself with any other colors! Vibrant wildflower colors are encouraged, although they are not mandatory. Below is a color palette with excellent examples, but please do not feel limited to just those shades.

What is the weather like in the area?

We expect temperatures in Battle Creek to range from 40 to 60 degrees. Whether it rains, shines, or happens to snow, we are excited to see you, and the party will go on!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are listed on the back of your RSVP card in your wedding invitation. Thank you for your understanding. If you would like to inquire about bringing additional guests, please feel free to reach out to us. There may be guests who can not attend, and we might be able to add those you'd like to invite.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself. There will be alcohol and open stairs so exercise caution when bringing your babies!

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We will be having a buffet that will offer different yummy entrees, sides, and a salad. We will also have cake and other desserts!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

We will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies. Please contact the bride or groom as soon as possible with your concerns.

Will there be an open bar?

Absolutely! The drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you—get ready to party! We encourage everyone to have a designated driver or to use Uber/Lyft to travel to and from the venue. Please ensure you have a safe way to get home.

Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?

You can find our registry under the "Registry" tab. While you're welcome to choose gifts from our registry, we truly appreciate anything that reminds you of us!

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

We are thrilled to have you celebrate our wedding with us! Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you wish to honor us with a gift, you may have it delivered to our home at 224 Chapel Hill Drive, Battle Creek, MI 49015, or bring it into the reception with you. Additionally, a wedding card box will be available at our reception. Thank you!

What is the wedding day itinerary?

*

4:30-5pm Ceremony

5pm-6pm Cocktail Hour

6pm-10:30pm Reception

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

The ceremony will start at 4:30 PM. Guests will not be permitted to enter the venue once the ceremony begins until it concludes and cocktail hour starts. Therefore, please plan to arrive at least 15 to 30 minutes early to allow sufficient time for parking and finding a good seat!

What time will your wedding reception end?

We understand that not everyone enjoys loud music and dancing. If you would prefer to leave after the cake, that's perfectly fine! Around 9 PM, we plan to increase both the volume and the music selection. After this point, things will definitely get lively! The reception should be wrapping up and getting packed away by 11 PM.

Is there an after-party?

At this time we are unsure of any after-party plans but we will update this Q&A if that changes.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We are having an unplugged ceremony, which means that once the ceremony begins, we kindly ask that everyone put away and silence their phones. We want everyone to be fully present with us, and we also want our photographer to capture the best possible pictures, which we will share with you later. After the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like, and please don't forget to share those with us!

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

YES! Please take lots of photos just not during the ceremony and make sure to tag us!

What is your wedding hashtag?

.... tbd

Can I make a speech at the wedding?

We love and cherish everyone we are inviting and would be delighted if you would like to give a speech, reading, or prayer. Please reach out to the bride or groom for permission beforehand, so we can try to include you in the timeline!

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?

You can reach either the bride or groom via Facebook Messenger. If you prefer to call or text, you can contact any immediate family members of the couple or use the provided phone numbers at the bottom of the page for the bride and groom.
